VENDOR COORDINATOR DESCRIPTION
A vendor coordinator is responsible for managing the relationship between Columbia Fashion Week and its vendors. They research local and national businesses to help bring visibility and support commerce for vendors during Columbia Fashion Week events. The Vendor Coordinator may work directly with vendors to ensure vendors is fully aware of event time, location, setup and necessary information needed to successfully vend at our fashion week event. They may also work with internal teams to make sure they’re getting what they need from vendors in a timely fashion.

- Communicating with vendors to resolve any issues that may arise during the event planning process
- Ensuring that vendors have adequate time to prepare for their services
- Coordinating with other members of the event planning team to ensure all aspects of the event are covered
- Providing customer service to clients during the event planning process
- Coordinating with event sponsors to ensure all requirements are met
- Reviewing contracts and making sure they are signed and returned to all parties involved in the event
- Coordinating with security staff to ensure they are aware of any special needs of guests or other attendees at an event
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers via email, phone, and in-person.
- Creating and maintaining client databases and mail lists.
- Providing effective administrative support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong networking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
