If approved, additional information will be provided in your confirmation email and receipt. Every individual applying for a Fashion Week press pass may only apply once.

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY GUIDELINES
Columbia Fashion Week welcomes media professionals to capture and share the artistry and culture of our events. To ensure consistency and professionalism, all photographers applying for media credentials must agree to the following guidelines:

  1. Press Pass & Monetization: If photographers and videographers wish to monetize their images (sell photos/videos to models, designers, or the public), they are required to purchase a press pass in the amount of $50 per season (Jan-Jun; July-Dec). If photographers do not wish to purchase a press pass, they may still receive a press pass to capture events and share their images publicly or release them directly to models and designers, but they must do so free of charge. **Columbia Fashion Week will email all models and designers photographer and videographer portfolios prior to event**
  2. Photo Delivery Requirement: All approved photographers must provide Columbia Fashion Week with a minimum of 50 high quality, edited images per event they shoot. Images should include a mix of runway looks, behind-the-scenes captures, and audience engagement based on assigned areas. Videographers must provide Columbia Fashion Week anywhere between 6-12 videos (mixture of highlighter and short clips) per event based on assigned area. Final images must be delivered to Columbia Fashion Week within 7-10 days of the event and prior to the release of any photos to public, models or designers.
  3. Photo Usage: By receiving media credentials, photographers grant Columbia Fashion Week the right to use all submitted images for marketing, press, publication and promotional purposes, with proper credit given.
  4. Professional Standards: Photographers must maintain professionalism, follow staff instructions, and avoid obstructing guests or interfering with the production. Columbia Fashion Week reserves the right to revoke credentials for any misconduct or failure to adhere to these guidelines.

MULTIPLE PASSES
Each press pass is issued individually. If you’re applying with a team, each person on your team needs to apply and be approved separately. Columbia Fashion Week reserves the right to approve or deny any application and limit the number of press passes provided to each organization. If you’re approved and then email us saying you only received one badge and need more for your team, you will be directed to have the rest of your team submit an application and they may or may not be approved for passes.

All press passes are non-transferable and non-resellable. Any individuals caught selling their press pass or not following the above guidelines will be disqualified from attending all future Fashion Weeks.  This is non-negotiable.

ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL

Columbia Fashion Week reserves the right to approve or deny any application. This decision is final and cannot be appealed. Please include all information in your application that will allow Columbia Fashion Week to make an informed decision on your application, as you will not be able to submit further information later if your application is not approved.
